Sacraments
There are seven sacraments in the Roman Catholic Church. The Seven Sacraments can be drawn together in three categories: the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist), Sacraments of Healing (Reconciliation and Anointing of the Sick), and Sacraments of Vocation (Marriage and Holy Orders)
Baptism
Parents wishing to initiate their children into the life of the Church
through the Sacrament of Baptism are asked to contact the rectory to
make arrangements.
Parents must be registered as parish members at lest 6 months.
Confirmation To enter the Confirmation process, please call the
Parish Office.
First Eucharist
To prepare for the Sacraments of first Penance and
first Eucharist, please contact the Parish Office.
Reconciliation - Confession
Before each
For appointment (call rectory)
**Please note: confession schedule does not apply during some
liturgical seasons.
Anointing of the Sick
Please call the Parish Office.
Marriage
Catholics registered members of St. Peter are welcome
to celebrate the Sacrament of Marriage
in our parish church. A parishioner must be registered six months
before the first contact with the parish priest about the planned
marriage.
Preparation for marriage should be in compliance with appropriate church
and civil laws.
Priesthood All
Catholics in virtue of their Baptism are called to share in the common
priesthood of Christ by which they sanctify themselves and the world
around them. However, some men are called in a special way by Christ to
the ordained ministry or the sacramental priesthood, in order to teach,
govern, and sanctify the people of God in collaboration with the Bishop
of the Diocese and so build up the Church and evangelize the world with
the Good News of Jesus Christ.
